Nakamura made his debut in the film The Innocent Seven in 2005. Toma Ikuta is listed as his best friend, and he is also close to Eiko Koike, Tori Matsuzaka , and Masaki Suda of the same office. He won the 22nd Yomiuri Drama Awards Best Actor in 2014. He has appeared in various movies and dramas as of 2020.
