Rotten Tomatoes can be review-bombed. Metacritic reduces films to a opaque score. Social media trends reward what’s new, not what lasts. And while Letterboxd is an incredible tool, its sheer volume of lists makes it difficult to know what truly matters.

Targets is a different approach.

This page analyzes over 600 carefully curated movie lists from across the internet to identify the films that appear most often — across decades, genres, cultures, and critical perspectives. The more lists a film shows up on, the more consensus it holds.

Each title is backed by real-time TMDB data and cross-referenced with my personal watch history since 2019. The result is a signal through the noise — a distilled view of the most celebrated films in cinema history.
