From August 2024 through April 2025, I wrote and produced over 3,700 songs using AI, culminating in more than 28 album releases under various artist personas through my label, Pretty People Records. This experience has been transformative — blending my lifelong passion for music with cutting-edge AI tools to unlock a new kind of creative freedom. Rather than viewing AI as a shortcut or gimmick, I’ve embraced it as a collaborator — a way to create authentic, vulnerable art at a pace and depth that matches the speed of my mind.

Annotated Lyrics Annotating the song structure in your lyrics is vital for Suno.
Before generating any music, I defined the emotional tone for each project. Every artist persona under Pretty People Records — from Polite Riot’s raw autobiographical rap, to Jewel Pod’s technophobia-centric hip hop, to Clouds of Acid’s dark grunge vibe — represented a specific emotional landscape I wanted to explore.
“I treated each project not just as an album, but as a narrative world.”
Using Suno’s platform, I crafted highly specific lyrical prompts and emotional briefs. Rather than “letting AI do the work,” I acted as a creative producer — shaping, guiding, and curating hundreds of generations to find the version that emotionally unlocked the story I was trying to tell.
“It’s like trying to pick a lock for hours… and then suddenly someone hands you the right key, and the safe opens like butter.”
Many songs required 20–100+ generations to find "the one" — a process I genuinely loved, akin to crate-digging through records or signing bands to a label.

Traditional music production often felt like a drag — compressors, EQ, mixing, mastering — none of which aligned with my passion for songwriting and emotional storytelling. AI music removed that friction, allowing me to focus purely on creativity and connection without getting bogged down in engineering.
When technical challenges did arise, I developed proprietary solutions:

Ironically, this all began as a side project for a video game I'm developing — a massive open-world project with 34 fictional gangs, each needing its own custom soundtrack.
“From day one, I knew each gang would need a soundtrack. 34 gangs × 15 songs each = 500+ tracks to create. It wasn’t a hobby anymore — it was an ecosystem.”
This massive undertaking forced me to develop systems for fast, emotionally grounded music generation, artist persona creation, and lore building — all using AI.
I spent 20+ years writing and recording music the traditional way. I loved it — but it was often exhausting, technical, and frustrating. AI changed that for me — not by replacing me, but by amplifying my voice.
“It’s been better for my mental health than three days a week of therapy.”
It allowed me to embrace what I love about music — writing, storytelling, creating worlds — without being dragged down by the technicalities that held me back. It made me a better songwriter, a more daring musician, and a more fulfilled artist. Far from being a threat to human creativity, AI has become my most empowering creative tool.
I’m excited to continue exploring this frontier — building worlds, making records, creating new artist personas, developing AI pipelines — and hopefully bringing this experience into a company that values creativity, technology, and emotional storytelling equally.
I’m passionate about joining a team where I can contribute both my artistic background and technical innovation — whether through creative R&D, content development, or helping bridge the emotional gap between AI tools and human users.
